| Is there any way out of the box in RMS, to set up a discount, let's say if they buy a 'snickers bar' get a 'drink' for free? |

You can use the tag along item to achieve this. Setup the drink(free) item in the system and then attach this item to the snickers bar using the tag alone item and then everytime you ring up the snickers bar the free drink will show up.
This is not technically a discount and will not show on a discount report or in the saving border on the receipt. If you need this functionally a custom addin would have to be created.
