At our winery, where we use RMS and POS, we use their virtual store inventory management to keep track of the wine we keep on had physically, and the wine that we store at our fulfillment center.  We maintain this by designating one machine as "store 1," (physically on hand), and one machine as "store 2" (off-stie inventory).

When we ring up a phone order at the winery, the inventory is taken out of store 1, as it is rung up on the system that everyday transactions take place on.  However, nearly all phone or shipping orders draw from our off-site inventory, as they are shipped out of our fulfillment center.  So, this means that inventory is reduced from store 1, even though it physically leaves from store 2, causing an imbalance in inventories.  As it stands, the only way that we know to rectify this, is to compile a transfer for each order that falls under these circumstances, bringing in a virtual inventory, to replenish what was sold, but not physically taken out of store 1.

We are wondering if there is a more efficient way of maintaining an accurate inventory, given our circumstances, that is built into the RMS system.  Any help would be appreciated, as I am the one that has to slog through phone orders and compile transfers  Thanks!
